Sansaw is a new breed of country estate in the heart of Shropshire. There isn’t a blade of grass in the whole 4,000 acres which isn’t put to good use. Raymond Blanc takes pigs for his menu at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons while across the fields stands the RIBA-award winning Pavilions, a state-of-the-art office environment built in 2008.
Run by former Marine James Thompson, Sansaw has the community at the heart of everything it does and has been hailed as a template for country estates across Europe. NPR has worked with James and the team for four years, raising the profile of Sansaw Estate and highlighting the role it has to play in the future of our planet.
