I set the company up in 2008 after spending 15 years as a journalist for a variety of different newspapers and magazines. My media career saw me writing on everything from crime and TV tofood, interiors and new business. That bedrock of journalism has enabled Nathan Rous PR to flourish.
There are 11 of us now, three of whom are former journalists, as well as a social media expert, graphic designer and videographer.
Our clients are primarily based in the UK but we’ve carried out multiple launches in the US and Europe for the likes of The White Company, Harrods, Land Rover Defender and Charles Tyrwhitt.
Our USP? As journalists we were sick of PRs sending unsolicited material through which meant nothing to us. We know what the media wants and how they want it. We also know what stories and information will float their boats.
Many of the journalists we pitch to have become good friends – we don’t send any nonsense so they often look out for our clients because there will inevitably be a great story attached
