Read, don’t weep…

This isn’t just a newsletter. It’s not just filled with pat on the backs and ‘look at us’ moments.

There’s some good stories in here and, with so much negativity in the news, it might give you some light relief.

We are lucky enough to work with some great companies doing magnificent things. Here’s a snapshot…

July saw the arrival of another brilliant client to the Nathan Rous PR portfolio. Founded in 1928 in Gloucestershire, Westonbirt still maintains its reputation as a leading independent and boarding school for girls, whilst being set in the most beautiful Hogwarts-eat-your-heart-out location.

We were thrilled to be asked to work with the school, in particular raising the profile of super-head Natasha Dangerfield and the incredible alumni.

It may be the start of the summer holidays, but we’re heading back to the classroom.

We are, once again, delighted to announce a new member of the team – our second big hire of the year.

Sarah Hughes joins Nathan Rous PR from Lime Marketing and brings with her a wealth of experience, particularly within the health and social care sectors.

Director Nathan Rous explained: “We are always looking for great people and Sarah has a stunning skill set which will enable us to deliver even better results for our clients as well as drive further growth.”

Her appointment comes on the back of a succession of contract wins for Nathan Rous PR in 2017, including global bikeshare provider nextbike, teddy bear manufacturer Merrythought and The Arts Centre Telford.

No matter how big or small the client is, we always have the nationals in our sights. On a particularly sunny weekend in July we bagged spots in not just one but three of the national papers.

The Sunday Times covered nextbike’s leading bike share system, The Express featured Merrythought and their strategy for tackling Brexit, whilst the i newspaper wrote an ‘at work’ piece on Merrythought’s teddy bear designer.
As they say, all in a weekend’s work…

Previously we’d casually name-dropped that global TV company CNN had spent the day at the Merrythought factory, filming the hand-crafted teddy bears going through production and interviewing managing director Sarah Holmes about the impact of Brexit.

The piece has now been aired – a fabulous piece of global coverage for a quintessentially British brand. Take a look by clicking here.

A flurry of video production is how we can best describe July. From theatrical performances to construction sites, you name it, we’ve been shooting there this month.

Our video team has been popping up all over the country capturing stunning footage, from Wales to Norfolk and back again. Now it’s time to hit the edit suite. Once finished, keep your eyes peeled on our video page for the latest updates, but in the meantime take a look at our most recent video made for dream car client BOTB.
